SDI helps protect your data

Your computer is worth more to you now than when you purchased it. Why? Because now it has all your business records, documents, and data files. The risk of losing a piece of hardware is not catastrophic, but losing years worth of data and documents could destroy some businesses.

SDI protects your data in several different ways.

First, we provide a professional Assessment and Risk Analysis service that will document the most vulnerable areas of your business computing environment. This includes specific checks for electrical power risks, virus & spyware weaknesses, and reviews of your data backup and recovery procedures.

Second, we provide a remote backup service so that you always have a backup of your business data stored off-site at the SDI office. Should you encounter a major disaster - such as a flood, fire, or tornado - having a recent backup stored off-site would be the only possible way to recover.

Third, we recommend and sell hardware and software tools to protect your data. For instance, American Power Conversion (APC) manufactures excellent power protection products like their Back-Ups Pro. If your site experiences a brownout or blackout for any reason, UPS-protected computers and servers can continue to function long enough for a safe shutdown. This extra time prevents lost data and can save many man-hours spent in data recovery.

Fourth, the option of last resort is emergency data recovery. We have partnered with OnTrack, the premier data recovery specialists. If you don't have a backup and need to recover data from a damaged computer, OnTrack could save your business. This option is expensive, even with the discount SDI is able to offer, so your best bet is to use our other services to avoid this problem in the first place.

There are two kinds of people - those who back up their data, and those who wish they had!
